Teatro Jorge Isaacs – Historical Theater in Cali
Cali is a great place to witness the arts of theater and music, and the Teatro Jorge Isaacs is one of the city’s most iconic theaters, and one of the most beautiful buildings in Cali.
Built to honor the local writer Jorge Isaacs and designed by Hermann S. Bohmer, a Caleño engineer, the theater was built in 1931. The architecture is a French Neo-Classical style, along with an influence of Italian Romanticism.

The inside theater has a large horseshoe type shape, and consists of three levels of seating. It’s very grandiose and feels like a step back in time. It’s large stage has hosted operas, plays, musicals, and modern concerts as well. Capacity is listed at 1,136 people.
